Mondays are blessings!

Monday Monday.... The start of it all :) This morning I was doing a lot of running around with my mother which I love ! I was able to drop off my little brothers lunch for him at the highschool. Then went to the Post office and got our mail, because they had to bring it there since we had not gotten it in the past couple of days it had piled up! This included my books that I needed for Dental Hygiene! 

After that I came home and engaged myself in reading those texts books....UGH! ha I cant tell you how many times I fell asleep! For anyone that knows me well...also knows that I can and will fall asleep ANYWHERE :) Then I was off to School! I go to Red Mountain Campus MCC Dental Hygiene School! and I loooove it! Its going to be a tough year, but I know that the lord put me there for a reason. To learn and to grow, and to help others. We had our monday Class with Miss Holexa, she is an incredible teacher! 

I cant wait till I get to help little children brush their teeth :) 

We had class from 1-4 and then lab that night from 5-8:30pm. Between that we had time to eat some dinner so I brought the Lovely Easy Mac! But it was not just ANY easy mac it was spongebob! It makes it ten times Cooler :) Talk about eating healthy right? haha

Lab was full of fun today :) We did a scavenger hunt, we learned more about AED and CPR and all that Jazz. Then we gave presentations at the end of Class. When I got out of class I had a missed phone call from one of my Best Friends Joshua, it was good to hear from him as he started his first day at BYU! Then I came home and we had Family Scripture Study! I love this time of the night with my family, where we all get to be together united with a purpose. Which is to learn more about christ and grow closer to him through reading our scriptures. We have just finished the Book of Mormon as a family. So tonight we all went around and shared something that we love about the Book of Mormon and Bore Testimony of it. I shared one of my favorite scriptures from the Book Of Mormon. Along with a time in my life when the scriptures gave me comfort. 

Mosiah 24:14

14 And I will also ease the ^aburdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as ^bwitnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their ^cafflictions.

I love this scripture. It just shows that the lord is mindful of us and loves each and how he loves us each individually and knows the needs of his sons and daughters. My siblings all bore testimony of this great book! I love the Book of Mormon will all my heart for I KNOW with out a doubt that it is true. I know that the prophets were men called of god and that Joesph Smith restored this gospel back onto the earth. 

If you have not had a chance to read this book READ it! It seriously is an incredible book and will change your life for the better if you let it! Then pray to know it it is true, and follow Moronis promise. 

Moroni 10:4-5

 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ^aask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not ^btrue; and if ye shall ask with a ^csincere heart, with ^dreal intent, having ^efaith in Christ, he will ^fmanifest the ^gtruth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

  5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may ^aknow the ^btruth of all things.

  6 And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.

I promise you if you ask with real intent and pure heart the holy ghost will manifest the truthfullness of this book unto you. I know these things to be true. I promise you that if you read from the Book of Mormon everyday you will be blessed and be happier. 

I love the Book Of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ! 

Sundays are the best!!

Have I told you that I LOVE sundays? Well I do :) Its a day to forget about the worries of the world and just focus on the savior and spending time with the family! 
so anyways today was fun! I went to Caleb Allred's Farewell this morning which was awesome! He is one of my best friends from L.I.G.H.T a show choir group that I was a part of in highschool. His talk was amazing! He is going to make such an amazing missionary in Mexico! I told him that he was fulfilling my dream. let me explain... Ever since I was a little girl about 8 years old I have wanted to serve a full time mission. Alongside with that my dream was to serve in Mexico, because I loved mexico and the people there.... not to mention the language!! :) He had a little acronym..
Change
C. Choice- we all have the choice to choose first if we want to change. ( 2 Nephi 2:27)
H. Humble Heart - You have to have a humble heart to change ( Mosiah 4:19) ( Helaman 12:7-8)
A. Act/ Asking - You have to ask for help to change ( Enos 1:15) Also Atonement... you can not get anywhere with out our savior and the atonement.
N. Now- you need to change now. Make the choice today. ( 2 Nephi 34:32-34) 
G. Give- give of yourself to the lord ( Mosiah 4 talks about this) 
E. Endure - If you really want to change you need to endure to the end and never give up! ( 1st Nephi 13:37) ( Doctrine and Covenants 101:5)

I am so grateful for missionaries going to serve the lord and teach his people! 


After this I went to my own singles ward, which was awesome! We always have such amazing speakers and lessons. President Riggs spoke today, he is such an amazing speaker! 
Then came home and went to Caleb Allreds open house.

After that we went to my Grandpa and Grandma Grays house! We celebrated my little brother Kyles 16th birthday! :) our grandpa had fun showing us his WHITE/ hairless legs!

Saturday it is!!

Well guys its Saturday...... which means SLEEP!! ha ok well not so much.. So I slept in a little bit. Then just chatted with my mother and father for a while. Can I just tell you that my parents are THE BEST! I seriously could sit and talk to them for hours! My mother is my very best friend and I can tell her just about anything :) I love having deep talks about life and the gospel with my father. I then was able to Skype with my dear friend Ali Fredrick! We talked for quite some time. After that I began to "clean" or more like De-clutter my room. Then I was able to have a little "movie date" with my little sister Courtney! She is adorable by the way, and SUCH  a sweetheart :) I absolutely LOVE spending time with her! We watched some horse movie... I cant remember what it was called. Then after that Jocelyn and Lindsay came over. Then we went to our ward activity, got some free food and watched some videos that our ward had previously made. Then we went to someones combined of which we did not know anyone at the party. So I walked in and someone asked me who I was looking for? I then replied, " well no one, because I dont know anyone". So then they took me inside and said," hey guys, this is Kaitlin and she does not know anyone". Ha so then after that everyone started introducing themselves. After that some familiar faces showed up. After the party kinda simmered down Lindsay, Jocelyn and I went to a friend Chris's house and played the dance dance game on the Wii. And let me tell you what! ha it was HILARIOUS!! video will be posted soon! Love it! 

The Birthday Party :)

I survived

Well everyone I survived... I survived my First day of Dental Hygiene School :)  It was all very new and exciting! I love the girls in my class, and am excited to get to know each and every one them throughout these 4 semesters. It was a really long day today. I was at school from 1pm till 8 at night but it was good. We all got our dental hygiene kits that we payed a fortune for. It was like Christmas opening our boxes! ha we all were extremely excited!!! We got to go to the Dental School and play around with some of the tools and equipment that we will be using. We also made a profile on Dentrix ( The program that we will be using) That was pretty exciting! I clicked instantly with a couple of girls. I love how the lord knows where and when you need to be doing something in our lives. He also knows who and when to place certain people in our lives, and I am so thankful for that. I am excited to see what these next 2 years of Dental Hygiene bring. I am so blessed to be in this program! Bring on Dental Hygiene!!

Dental Hygiene

Well Guys today I start Dental Hygiene School! I cant tell you how excited I am :) Its going to be an adventure for sure, and a lot of hard work but it will totally be worth it in the end. I  cant believe that it is finally here, feels like yesterday I was finishing my prerequisites for school and now I am starting. This is seriously a dream come true and something that I have been working towards for quite some time now. Something that my dad told me is " You can do anything if you put your mind to it" and this is so true. You are the only thing that can stop you from accomplishing your dreams. Don't ever let anything or anybody stand in your way and tell you otherwise. Dont just follow your dreams, Chase them! I am ready for this new chapter in my life! Bring it on!!! 

Coming home to Az!

Well this ends my vacation of the summer..... I am now coming home to Az for good for now :) So this morning I woke up at 7:45am and then I  packed up my stuff and Braden was so nice to take me to  the Flying J to catch a shuttle even though we had just gotten back to logan at 3:30 in the morning from the Canada road trip.  I then got on the Bus and called my mom, and talked with her the whole time. Then the bus brought us to the Salt Lake Airport and then I had to hop onto another shuttle. I panicked a little bit because I was pretty sure that I lost my phone... so I had a the girls in the back call my phone. Come to find out that it was in my bag. After about an hour we made it to the Marriot Center. Right after I got off the shuttle, I realized that I forgot my lap top in the shuttle. By the time I looked the Shuttle was ALL the way across the parking lot. So I BOOKED it!!!! I have never ran that fast in my life! I stopped the driver and he was like in the middle of the intersection I opened the door super fast and then grabbed my lap top and then the shuttle was off. I then walked over to the side walk and my body kind of went into shock.... I dont think that it was used to running that fast. anyways then afterwards I went into the Marriot Center and waited for Jason Willet to pick me up. After that we went to pick up my luggage and then we hit up subway. Then we were on the road. We drove and drove and drove and drove! We went to subway twicee! Ha I have never seen So many subways in my life!! We stopped a couple places and took pictures! We finally made it home at like 10:00pm. So the total trip was 10 hours compared to 12 :) and we left 3 hours later than we were going to go! Home sweet home! I cam home to a bunch of letters from friends and a present from one of my best friends Courtney Burford! She is too good to me and I love her so much! She gave me a Journal, a candle, some Chapstick and some mints! I seriously have the BEST friends!! 

Last day in Canada :(

Today was our last adventure in Canada! We woke up showered and ate some breakfast that our family we were staying with prepared. Canadians are So nice!! I wish all Americans were this way. She had fruit, juice, bacon and french toast all prepared for us. Then we were on the road to Volcan! We met this lady in pincher Creek last Sunday who told us that if we came to her store she would give us free t-shirts!! So we went to her store bought some stuff and also got some stuff for free. She just kept giving us stuff. These people are so giving!! Then after that we went to this place where they had all sorts of stuff from Star Trek. We were even able to dress up in costumes and take some funny pictures! We got some Ears from the movie and everything! Then after that we headed to the Cardston Temple! My favorite!! I really really wish that we could have gone inside, however it is closed until the 16th. Maybe ill have to come back someday! It was absolutely beaUtiful!! I loved it! We took some fun pictures outside the temple and then we were off. We went to Dairy Queen and grabbed a quick lunch and were on the road again :) We went to the Road of the Sun .........or something like that .... ill have to look it up. Anyways some national park and it was absolutely beautiful! Its amazing how pretty the earth really is. We drove all the way through that and it seriously looked like something from a magazine just stunning!! We pretty much just drove all day today, taking little stops here and there to  get food or a potty break! We finally made it home or to the Greens house at three am this morning! Back to Utah, Back to Reality!! Now off to Arizona heat in the morning.

Thursday ZOO and Farm in Canada!!

Hey guys!! Greetings from Champion Canada! So today was another adventure within itself! But then again, its always an adventure when you're in Canada :) So today we woke up and had some wonderful pancakes from our host family. Then we were off to the Zoo! I text our friend Leanne who we met on the side of the road on Sunday and asked if she wanted to meet us at the zoo! And she accepted! So we go to the zoo and met up with Leanne! The zoo was tons of fun! I saw animals that I did not even know existed!! Leanne was hilarious to have along for the ride! " Life needs a little bit of love, a little bit of Sunshine and a little bit of Manure" says Leanne!

 She was hilarious the whole day! Leanne even bought us all lunch!! She INSISTED!! We all had to run inside for lunch because it seriously started to DOWN pour!! We went inside and ate and were able to explain more about our church to Leanne, we had previously given her a Book of Mormon the Sunday before. She then had to leave to go back to work. She had taken off her entire afternoon to spend time with us. She did not like saying goodbye, it was sad. But goodbyes have to happen in order for other hellos right? :) We continued our way through the zoo and we found some cool animals! 

                   We even saw some Kangaroo!!

Shane wanted a picture, he said Kaitlin hurry quick! ha i did not know what I was getting myself into :) He was so happy! 


After getting drenched running through the park we were about ready to go. Shane ran out to get the car for us while we waited inside. (NOT the best idea we had) We ended up running in the rain forever trying to find him.

After this we all went to some members house for shane to visit and then we were off to a Canadian Market where we stocked up on Canadian Candy to bring back home! 

so I did not get these but I had to get a picture for my mom because she LOVES reeses! Not to mention this package of them were HUGE!!


After this we drove to Champion to stay at a members home from Shanes mission. When we drove up this is what we drove to! 

This was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! words cant describe! It looked like something off of a movie. I didnt think this road trip could get any better but I am pretty sure that it just did!

That was fun :) and then we simmered down after shane showed us his "magic trick" called the dancing hair! which just resulted in him pretending to make it dance and then splashing water in our face. Then we all watched Star Trek which I am pretty sure all of us fell asleep :) Time to go to bed myself got a looong day ahead of driving all the way back to Logan Utah :( Good night Canada and everyone else. 

Wednesday in Calgary!!

So today was a lot of fun! We left our wonderful lodging that my amazing mother set up for us. It was like an apartment. It had 2 rooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen! Can I just tell you that my mother is AWESOME!!! I absolutely love her. So we were on the road, and we headed up towards Calgary! The drive was actually not that bad at all, maybe like an hour or so. Our first stop was the Olympic Park. Now that was cool! I would put some pictures up...however it says that my gmail account picture thing is full.. hm anyways so we got to go inside the bobsled and stuff, we also filmed us jumping inside of it! After that we went out to eat some lunch. we stopped at some mall and then after that we all went walking around the mall. Then we came to the Wilmot Familys house. This is a member that was in one of Shanes area on the mission. We are staying with them tonight. After we sat and talked for a while then sister Wilmot piled us up in her car and we all went to the train station. ( its like a light rail) We rode that to down town Calgary. We first went to the Calgary Tower, which was super sweet. At the top of the tower there is this clear glass floor. We stood on top of it and took some sweet pictures. It was scary because you saw millions of stories beneath you leading to the cement!! After that we walked around up and down the streets to China town. That was neat to see, ha reminded me of NY and people trying to sell you things. Then we all continued walking around looking at all the cool buildings and shops. We all got some super yummy smoothies and then headed back to the tracts. I sat next to 2 young men from Africa that was super awesome. Then another guy came and sat next to us and I asked him where he was from and he said Africa as well. Small world. Then we waited for the Wilmots to pick us up. We then went to this  place called Petes. Its just a hamburger place. The portions were HUGE! ha felt like I should have been in America. Following dinner we all went to the temple cite where the Calgary Temple is going to be. Then came home, played some rock band and planned for the adventures tomorrow! Better get some rest! Good night Canada! 

Tuesday in Canada!

LAKE Emerald!! This was absolutely BREATHE taking! We saw so many beautiful lakes today! I love road tripping :) 

So today we woke up, packed up and then headed on the road. We first went to this wolf cage thing. They tame wolfs and keep them safe.We had a little tour of that and then were on the road again. We stopped at Mcdonalds to meet up with one of Shanes friends from the mission. I had some sweet chicken wrap and thai thing that they do not have in the United States. Then after that we just drove and drove and drove. We made random stops everywhere! It was absolutely BREATH taking! I cant explain it! We saw Lake Louise, Emerald Lake, a underground railroad and so much more. We even saw some bears today. We stopped and took some fun random pictures in the middle of the forest. I used to not like road trips because I always felt sick in the car. However my views on road trips have changed,I absolutely LOVE them and want to go on as many as I can :) We stopped in a little town and walked around. It reminded me of old town gilbert a little bit or park city. We then went to the Spaghetti Factory which was fun! I had never been there before. Lest just say that I was STUFFED after that. I filled up on bread, cheesy bread and salad. So pretty much I was full even before I got my spaghetti! ha After that we went and walked around some more. I got some souvenirs for some of my family and friends! Then after that we Drove to our LOVELY condo that my wonderful mom set us up with! It has a full on kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Did I mention its super cheap?! man my mom is good :) Everyone was super impressed with it and loved it! Meggie Braden and I all went to safeway to get some Hot chocolate! Then we came back and started the movie " What about Bob" absolutely hilarious movie! We drank some hot chocolate and had some waffers. Everyone was out within the first like 10 minutes of the movie. I woke up and came into my room and skyped my mom. That was a lot of fun! I love love love talking to her. Well I best be getting to bed! Excited for Calgary tomorrow!! 

Monday in Canada!

We began our little road trip from Pincher Creek to Golden and this was our first Pit stop. This waterfall was absolutely beautiful just like everything else in Canada! I sure wish Az was this pretty!

I MADE It to CANADA :)

Hey guys! Greetings from Canada :) A group of  EFY Counselors Meggie, Lisa, Amy, Shane, Braden and I all made it to Canada Safely! Shane served his mission in Canada so we all are staying with family's that were in his areas. The ride up here was sure an adventure. We got So excited when we saw everything around us Canadian. ha we went to Subway and we noticed that it was different than the one in America. They didn't have pepper Jack Cheese, or normal Banana Peppers for that matter. Meggie and I even got some Canadian Orange Juice :) We then made a pact that we were never going to go to an american restaurant again. We slept in a trailor last night, and it was a blast! Shane and Braden slept in sleeping bags outside on the grass. Now off to Church in Pincher Creek! Let the adventure begin!!

I love My Savior, Best Friend and Older Brother Jesus Christ!

My Savior means So much to me. I am extremely grateful for him. He died for me. I know that he loves me more than I can even comprehend. I know that My redeemer lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who restored this gospel onto this earth. I know that we can get answers to prayers if we ask with a broken heart and contrite spirit. I know that family's can be together forever someday. I know that if we do our best Jesus will help with the rest. I know that the atonement is real. I know that when we keep the commandments we will live a happier life. If we love our Heavenly father we will keep the commandments and strive to do better and better everyday. I know that Christ loves me. He puts me in certain places throughout my life, because he knows that there are people that I am supposed to meet that are their to help me grow. He knows and loves me better than even my own parents. He knows what is best for me. I know that the Book of Mormon is True with all my heart. And that if you study the scriptures everyday you will be blessed. I know that Christ wants nothing more than for us to be able to return to  live with him again someday. I love this gospel and am Extremely grateful to have the gospel in my life! It is what brings True happiness!

Let me tell you just how happy I am to be working EFY for PROVO this week! I am SUPER happy!! I have wanted this week since well since I was 13 quite frankly. This has been my dream job and I am LOVING it! I cant tell you how blessed I am to have this job as an EFY counselor! I love it more than anything! It has truly been such a blessing in my life and one of the BEST decisions that I have ever made. I have learned so much not only about being a counselor but about myself and the impact one person can have. I have truly been blessed. Thank you Provo :)

Date with Derek!

I was able to go on a date with Derek last night and it was a BLAST! ( he served his mission in the same mission that my grandparents did in Tampa Florida. ) We went to the Boondox and had some DELICIOUS pizza :) As you can tell we scarfed it down!!
